I joined the gym when it first opened. I have been working out for a number of years, and have been a long term member of a gym in the UK and regularly attend personal training sessions both in the UK and in Singapore. I was immediately impressed by the state of the art equipment, and the layout of the gym, including the coffee shop area where it is possible to obtain healthy food and drinks. However, it was only after starting to use the gym did I really find out what a terrific place it is.
I started by using the aerobic machines, all of which are great to use, especially for a 52 year old who has, or should I say had (see below) creaking joints, aches and pains etc. Shortly after starting a fairly frequent regime, I was approached by one of the trainers who said they had noticed I didn’t stretch out properly after my sessions, and could he stretch me. Since then one or other of them have been routinely stretching me, and I feel like a new man. I hadn’t realised how stiff I was, and how that could be changed. I now regularly attend circuit training, cross core, and functional training classes and find that the trainers are all excellent. It is a truly personal service. They motivate without making me feel inadequate, and then ensure I am properly stretched at the end. The expertise they all have in this regard is impressive; I think it is because of the emphasis the gym places on physiotherapy.
All in all, a great experience; a great team of people, who are turning me gently into a much more flexible and healthy middle aged man. Great value for money, big smiles all round, thanks guys.
